Sri Lanka’s NFWD President on Disability Rights & Gender Equality | UN COSP19
The President of the Nation Forum of Women with Disabilities (NFWD), Rasanjali Pathirage, delivered a powerful speech at the Commonwealth Disabled People’s Forum (CDPF) Side Event held alongside the 19th Session of the Conference of States Parties (COSP19) to the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) at the United Nations Headquarters in New York,NFWD shared experiences from Sri Lanka and highlighted its ongoing efforts to promote disability-inclusive policies, meaningful participation, and the leadership of women and persons with disabilities in decision-making processes.
