Promoting Dignity, Mobility, and Well-Being
The Nation Forum of Women with Disabilities (NFWD) is proud to share the successful completion of a recent initiative supporting persons with disabilities in Kolonnawa, Colombo, and Anamaduwa, Puttalam.
Through this initiative, more than 120 persons with disabilities — primarily women and girls — received essential sanitary and dignity items, helping them meet basic needs with greater comfort and dignity.
Alongside this support, nearly 40 wheelchairs were repaired and restored, helping individuals regain essential mobility and greater independence in their daily lives.
Support was also extended to men with disabilities facing urgent mobility challenges and essential needs, ensuring that assistance reached those who needed it most.
