NFWD Welcomes Australian Volunteer Ms. Jasmin to Strengthen Organizational Development and Advocacy
The Nation Forum of Women with Disabilities (NFWD) is pleased to welcome Ms. Jasmin from Australia, who has joined the organization through the Australian Volunteers Program.
Ms. Jasmin was warmly received by the NFWD team and introduced to the organization’s staff during her first day at the office. She also participated in an orientation session that provided an overview of NFWD’s organizational structure, day-to-day operations, and its ongoing work to promote the rights, inclusion, and empowerment of women and persons with disabilities across Sri Lanka.
As part of her volunteer placement, Ms. Jasmin will work closely with the NFWD team to strengthen the organization’s institutional capacity. Her key areas of support will include the development and review of organizational policies, enhancing advocacy initiatives, and contributing to fundraising and resource mobilization efforts that support NFWD’s long-term sustainability and impact.
This collaboration reflects the shared commitment of NFWD and the Australian Volunteers Program to promoting inclusive development and strengthening civil society organizations working to advance the rights of persons with disabilities.
NFWD extends its sincere appreciation to the Australian High Commission in Sri Lanka for its continued support of inclusive development initiatives.
