The Nation Forum of Women with Disabilities (NFWD) is proud to announce that our Founder President and CEO, Rasanjali Pathirage, participated as a panelist at the Commonwealth Disabled People’s Forum (CDPF) Side Event held alongside the 19th Session of the Conference of States Parties (COSP19) to the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

Thulisile Dladla, Deputy Prime Minister of Eswatini; Leslie Church, Head of the Canadian Delegation and Parliamentary Secretary; Richard Rieser, Secretary General of CDPF; and Justin Pettit, Acting Head of Human Rights at the Commonwealth Secretariat.
During the discussion, NFWD shared experiences from Sri Lanka and highlighted its ongoing efforts to promote disability-inclusive policies, meaningful participation, and the leadership of women and persons with disabilities in decision-making processes.
